Midweek ride to Battersea

Wednesday 15th January 2020, after a night of heavy Rain & strong Winds, would anyone be brave enough to join the first Midweek ride of 2020, starting with cloudy Skies, and several large Puddles, Yes, 10 Cyclists left via Skerne Rd, Aerospace estate, Ham, Ham gate Richmond Park, via White lodge, to Roehampton gate, Barnes Common, Putney, Wandsworth Park, Wandsworth,- with our Baack marker suffering a visit from ‘the P Fairy’, happy to let the group continue, rejoining us at lunch-, Thames path, Battersea, Battersea Park & Pagoda, (Photo), to Battersea for lunch at ‘the Asparagus’, (Wetherspoons), now with a glorious Sunny if chilly afternoon, Clapham Common, Wandsworth Common, (with a very large Tree blown down, blocking a Cycle path, but luckily not the route we needed), Earlsfield, to Wimbledon Park for Tea & Refreshments, Wimbledon village, Raynes park, New Malden, Norbiton to Kingston. Total 27 Miles, thanks to John  E for back marking, & thanks to Steve D for deputizing while John recovered from the ‘P Fairy’.
